Pufin Power Group (Maastricht, The Netherlands) has announced that it will increase its solar photovoltaic (PV) cell and module manufacturing capacity, following an agreement with Thomson Energy (Issy les Moulineaux, France) that includes a PV module supply component.

Pufin Power will increase production through group companies EliFrance SAS (La Talaudière, France), Solland Solar Cells (Heerland, The Netherlands) and El.Ital SpA (Avellino, Italy), with investments completed by April 2014. Pufin Power CEO Massimo Pugliese says that this increase has been made possible by EU trade policy limiting Chinese imports.

“I can conclude by saying that my gamble has been paid off,” stated Pugliese. “Our 'Made in Europe' photovoltaic products have been awarded against the unfair competition represented by Chinese products, thanks to the long- awaited and far-sighted anti-dumping policy carried out by the EU.”

Pufin Power plans to increase its supply of multicrystalline solar photovoltaic (PV) cells from 100 MW to 150 MW annually through Solland Solar, and to increase its production of modules from 70 MW to 115 MW annually through El.Ital and EliFrance.
